App: SafeAlert

Effective date: June 2, 2026

SafeAlert helps you prepare safety alerts for trusted contacts. The current iOS version does not require an account, does not use a SafeAlert backend, and does not automatically collect, sell, or share personal information with the developer.

What We Collect

The current version does not require your name, email address, payment details, account login, or other account information.

SafeAlert lets you save trusted contacts locally on your device. A saved SafeAlert contact may include the contact name, phone number, and whether the contact was entered manually or selected from iOS Contacts.

SafeAlert also stores your selected recipients and sharing preferences locally, such as whether you usually include Apple Maps links, Google Maps links, device name, or device status.

Optional Contacts Access

SafeAlert asks for Contacts access only when you choose to add someone from your iOS contact list. The app does not silently read your address book.

If you choose a contact, SafeAlert saves the reviewed name and phone number in the app so you can select that person for future alerts.

Optional Feedback Email

If you tap Send Feedback, the app opens your chosen email app with the support address and a prefilled message. Nothing is sent automatically.

If you choose to send the email, your email app sends your message, your email address, and any included app version, device, and iOS version details to support. This information is used to respond to support requests, bug reports, feature requests, or privacy questions.

Optional Location Sharing

SafeAlert asks for location access only when you choose to include a map link in an alert. Map links use precise location when iOS allows Precise Location.

Current coordinates and map links are used to prepare the alert text. SafeAlert does not store your coordinates, alert location history, or delivery history.

Optional Device Information

If you enable device information, SafeAlert may include your device name, battery level, Wi-Fi connection state, and cellular connection state in the alert you review.

SafeAlert does not collect Wi-Fi network names, carrier names, charging state, or other network identifiers.

Optional Messages, Audio Notes, Copy, and Share

You may add a one-time typed message or a short audio note to an alert. Typed alert text is not saved by SafeAlert. Audio notes are temporary files on your device and are discarded when you remove them or after a sent Messages result.

SafeAlert prepares alert text and opens the iOS Messages composer or share sheet for your review. Nothing is sent automatically by SafeAlert. If you choose to send or share an alert, the message content is handled by the recipient, Apple, your carrier, and any app or service you choose.

If you copy the prepared alert text, it is placed on the system clipboard so you can paste it into another app.

Local Storage

SafeAlert stores saved contacts, selected alert recipients, and sharing preferences on your device. The current version does not store exact coordinates, prepared alert bodies, alert history, delivery status, or backend logs.

Analytics and Tracking

The current version does not use third-party analytics, ads, app tracking technologies, push notifications, or backend alert delivery.

A future version may add optional backend delivery, push alerts, accounts, analytics, paid features, or other services. If that happens, this policy will be updated before that version is released.

Children's Privacy

SafeAlert is not directed to children under 13. Because the current version does not use a SafeAlert backend or developer-operated account system, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children through developer servers.

Changes

If a future version adds accounts, cloud sync, backend delivery, push notifications, analytics, advertising, alert history, or other automatic data collection features, this policy will be updated before release.
